Festival Dates: July 28 - August 2, 2025

The Heartland Chamber Music Festival is an exciting 6 days of music making, both chamber and large ensemble, accompanied by master classes, lectures and student/faculty/guest artist performances! Open to all orchestral instruments and pianists, each student aged 12-30, is selected by audition to work one-on-one with internationally renowned faculty members who have gathered for the festival with the purpose of inspiring and nurturing the students' development.

This year, the Ensemble-in-Residence is none other than the electric Ulysses String Quartet, who will play a side-by-side concert with the Festival Scholar Quartet, in addition to mentoring, rehearsing, and inspiring festival enrolled students for the entirety of the festival. The finale will conclude with a performance of Stravinsky's Firebird, as well as several orchestral solo appearances featuring members of the Ulysses.

All performances take place in Yardley Hall or Polsky Theatre at the Midwest Trust Center at JCCC.
